So, this is my very first watercolor ever. The background was done using a wet-in-wet technique, and the rest was wet-on-dry. Some of the painting around the edges got cut out in the picture, but I hope you can get the general idea. Anyway, I hope that I can figure out the delicate science of watercolor this year. It should be an adventure!
I like the depth on many of these flowers. The way you have used the light and dark tones makes them feel 3-d. I especially like the uppermost left hand cluster. Great first effort!

ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful Hannah! I've played with watercolor, though I never had a teacher attempt to guide me in the process... I'm not sure I'd ever truly manage it! It's a beauty! Definitely something I can see hanging in a home
